Daily Report : English Muffin (English Ver.)

February 7th 2018

            Since we’re still open resto for breakfast today, so we came to kitchen 7A.M. to make sure that everything will be ready before 10 A.M. For today we served “English Breakfast”
English Breakfast’s Menu :
1.      Pineapple juice
2.      English muffin
3.      Plain muffin
4.      Coffee or tea with cream or lime segment
Because the muffin we’ve made yesterday won’t be enough for 60 pax so we have to make more English muffin and plain muffin. Yesterday my team was responsible to make plain muffin, so today my team was responsible to make English muffin.
Approximately after 1 ½ hours we finished our muffin and it was in time (before open resto).
When open resto, we had a little problem cause there was a customer protested our pineapple juice. But we fixed the pineapple juice immediately.

Breakfast finish at 11 A.M. so while I was waiting I helped my friends who were in butcher to peeled the shrimp.
11 A.M. breakfast finished, back to cool kitchen. In cool kitchen my friends who were in team 1-5 was really busy preparing for tomorrow “Indonesian Breakfast”. So, because we were done for today’s breakfast, we helped our friends who were preparing for tomorrow. We helped them to make the rice for fried rice, cut the ingredients to make fried noodle, cut the vegetables for acar, etc.



            After we finished preparing we stood in one line, then we were given chance to took a break from 12.30 P.M. until 1.30 P.M.
1.30 P.M. break was over, we came back to cool kitchen and stood in one line again. Then, seniors reviewed our small book. Review was over around 4 P.M. and we started general cleaning together with our seniors. General cleaning finished at 5 P.M.
Before we went home, Mr. Ical told us a few things about blog, what we gonna do tomorrow and stuff. Then we may go home.

Ingredients to make English Muffin :
1.      Water (187,5gr)
2.      Instant yeast (4gr)
3.      Hard flour (250gr)
4.      Salt (4gr)
5.      Sugar (4gr)
6.      Shortening (6gr)
7.      Butter (4gr)
How to make English Muffin :
1.      Mix all the dry ingredients
2.      Put in the shortening and butter
3.      Add water
4.      Mix it with mixer if necessary
5.      Rounding the dough
6.      Put the dough in mould

7.      Bake for around 30 minutes
